"There is no easy way to express my gratitude to Gulten. She is not only a midwife but also a dear friend who is always there to support you, no matter where you are or what you need. As a new mom with my first child in a foreign country during the pandemic, her support was invaluable to me. Before my online session with Gulten, I had seen at least ten different midwives, but none of them could explain why my baby wasn’t latching. I still remember the overwhelming feeling of not being enough for my baby. In that state of despair, I tried to book an appointment with Gulten. She had no availability at all, but I believe she sensed my desperation and arranged an online session at midnight. I was shocked and deeply touched. Gulten didn’t know me at all, yet she offered to help, sacrificing her own sleep. She shared some tips during that session, and we scheduled a follow-up. That was all it took—my baby started latching! I’ll never forget how I felt after that first call. After days of feeling hopeless, I was once again happy and hopeful. Another unforgettable memory with Gulten is when, once again, in the middle of the night, my little one was crying uncontrollably. I had no idea what to do, so I texted Gulten in desperation. She called me back—again, in the middle of the night!—and advised me to try walking while breastfeeding. That trick worked like magic. After hours of endless crying, there was suddenly silence. Beyond all the calls, sessions, and text messages, Gulten also created a WhatsApp group—a community of around 200 new moms, along with pediatricians and other relevant child specialists. In this group, we share our feelings (both good and bad), ask questions, share experiences, and seek advice. After joining this WhatsApp group, I completely stopped googling anything about babies. Whatever came to mind, I turned to the group, using it like my personal search engine—but this time, the answers came with empathy and understanding. I don’t know any of these moms in person, but Gulten has created a platform and environment where nearly 200 moms feel like close friends. She’s not just a midwife—she’s a lifeline, a confidant, and a friend who touches lives far beyond her profession. Gulten has transformed what could have been a lonely, overwhelming journey into one filled with hope, connection, and joy. I will forever be grateful to her for being the kind of person who goes above and beyond, making a lasting difference in the lives of so many."

"Dear Hiring Manager, I am pleased to write this reference letter for Ms. Gülten Sakallı in support of her application for a midwife position. I had the privilege of working with her during the births of both of my children. On both occasions, she demonstrated exceptional professional and interpersonal skills that deeply impressed me. I would like to highlight Gülten’s skills and qualities by sharing my personal experiences and how she contributed during these critical moments in my family’s life. When my elder son was born, he developed newborn jaundice. Upon realizing this, we contacted Gülten based on a recommendation from a trusted friend. Despite it being late at night, she came to our home, examined our baby, and provided my husband and me with both psychological and practical support. One significant challenge was that my son was refusing to breastfeed and was losing weight, a critical issue given his jaundice diagnosis. Gülten developed a feeding schedule for him, showed us how to feed him using a syringe, and encouraged me to pump breast milk to stimulate lactation. Her dedication was evident as she visited us daily during the first week to monitor his symptoms and recovery. Thanks to her attentive care and guidance, the critical period passed successfully. Even after this initial phase, she remained available for any further questions and support regarding my son’s development. When I became pregnant with my second child, I knew I wanted Gülten to assist as my midwife. Leading up to my due date, she maintained regular contact with me, providing invaluable advice and sharing her expertise through seminars on breastfeeding, delivery, and postnatal care. On the night my daughter was born, Gülten came to my home to monitor my contractions and evaluate my progress. After examining me, she recommended going to the hospital, as per our birth plan. My daughter was in the posterior position, making the labor more painful, but Gülten was a constant source of support. She guided me through the contractions with breathing techniques, warm showers, and movement exercises to help manage the pain. What I appreciated most was her ability to keep me fully informed throughout the process, ensuring that I understood each step and felt empowered to make decisions. Thanks to her care and expertise, my daughter’s delivery unfolded exactly as planned, creating an experience I will always cherish. I wholeheartedly recommend Gülten Sakallı as a midwife. Her knowledge, compassion, and dedication make her an invaluable asset in any medical setting. Sincerely, Mariia Ensari Feel free to contact me if you require any additional information or clarification."
"Hep güzel yerlere gel hep böyle güzel kalbinle çalış iyki iyki varsın ♥️ I met with Gulten, when my baby girl was exactly a month old. Even though I was a pediatrician with a newborn experience, nothing had me prepared for a real breastfeeding problem. I still remember the night I wrote her my first message, even though it was quite late she replied me back and gave me an appointment to meet online next day in the afternoon. In our first meeting, while I was telling her our story, with her wide experience she just guessed the all next step problems we run into. Honestly I was very surprised of her knowledge and experience, because half of the things she talked about made me feel like I was talking to a doctor colleague rather than a midwife. After mutual decision she made an assessment about the feeding and then we started using supplementary breast milk and formula to close to weight gap of my baby. After a month, she had reached to optimal weight and I was nursing her and giving time to time breast milk through supplementary nursing system. Like she predicted at 3rd month mark my baby started drinking the way she was supposed to and thanks to her I could finally exclusively breastfeed her. If I haven’t met Gulten, none of this could happen and during this journey even though we contacted online she was literally with us in every single step and every single seconds. Even on Sundays even at midnights she sincerely helped and supported us. As everyone who went through breastfeeding problem she also addressed to my confidence about breastfeeding and made me believe that I was enough and ready to provide this for my baby. Today by looking on these months I feel even envy of the mothers who was privileged to work with her during the pregnancy and birth side by side. At the same time I can’t even imagine, how would it really be, because even online she made us feel like she literally lived here with us. If one day I see someone in my place, trying her best to feed her baby but no matter how failing and crying, Gülten is definitely the person I would recommend my eyes closed. While I also got her name by recommendation, they had told me “if she can’t make it, there is no one else she can”…. Today I can definitely say the same sentence too. There is literally no woman or no child this beautiful woman can’t make the breastfeeding happen. So lucky to met you and go keep touching other babies and mothers life with your beautiful soul…"
